Warner Bros. Pictures has unleashed the first look at "Evil Dead Burn," the newest instalment in the iconic horror franchise, from director Sébastien Vaniček (Infested) and produced by Rob Tapert and Sam Raimi.

In 1979, Raimi created the supernatural franchise that would go on to develop a cult following after the release of its original trilogy between 1981 and 1992.

The franchise has since expanded into films, TV shows, graphic novels, musicals, and games, among other media.

While Raimi wrote and directed only the first three installments, each film in the franchise has generally received positive reviews from critics, with the prolific filmmaker remaining involved in later entries as a producer or executive producer.

After three years of keeping fans in eager anticipation, "Evil Dead" returned once again with the all-new entry titled "Evil Dead Burn".

Directed and co-written by Sébastien Vaniček, "Evil Dead Burn" is the sixth film in the franchise as well as the third standalone entry, after 2013's "Evil Dead" and 2023's "Evil Dead Rise".

As per its synopsis, the new installment sees a woman grieving the loss of her husband, joining her in-laws at their secluded family home, where some Kandarian demons take over. As her relatives begin to transform into Deadites, the event that was supposed to be about healing becomes "a family reunion from hell."

"Evil Dead Burn" will be the franchise's most savage and terrifying ride to date, with unexpected scares.

The movie features a cast that includes Souheila Yacoub (Dune: Part Two), Tandi Wright (Pearl), Hunter Doohan (Daredevil: Born Again), and Luciane Buchanan (The Night Agent).

Amid anticipation for "Evil Dead Burn," another film is already in the works, which appears not to be tied to the 2026 entry.

Titled "Evil Dead Wrath," it began filming earlier this year with The Last Stop in Yuma County's Francis Galluppi set to write and direct.

Additionally, the released cast list features Charlotte Hope (Game of Thrones), Jessica McNamee (Mortal Kombat), Zach Gilford (Midnight Mass), and Josh Helman (X-Men: Days of Future Past).

"Evil Dead Burn" is opens in theaters on July 10, 2027, with "Evil Dead Wrath" is scheduled to release in the next two years, on April 7, 2028.
