Evanescence have officially announced their upcoming album Sanctuary, marking their first studio release in five years.

Ahead of the album’s June 5 release, the band, led by Amy Lee, unveiled the lead single “Who Will You Follow,” offering fans an early preview of the project’s sound.

The track opens with Lee’s signature piano and haunting vocals before building into heavier guitar driven sections.

Lyrically, it explores themes of identity, emotional strain, and resilience.

Sanctuary will be the band’s sixth studio album and follows their 2021 release The Bitter Truth.

It will be available in multiple formats, including digital, CD, deluxe editions, and a limited box set, with a double vinyl edition scheduled for release in September.

In a statement, Lee described the album as a deeply personal project developed over more than three years, calling it both an emotional outlet and a source of hope through music.

The announcement comes ahead of the band’s 2026 world tour, which will begin with a North American leg in June. Prior to that, they are set to perform at the Sick New World in Las Vegas on April 25.

The album will feature 12 tracks, including the title song “Sanctuary,” alongside “Afterlife,” “Self Destruct,” and “Forever Without You.”
