A German adaptation of the teen drama TV series “Euphoria” is currently in the works.

Zeitsprung Pictures has optioned the series from production and distribution company ADD Content, who rep international rights to the format and series.

"Euphoria" is an Israeli original series created by Ron Leshem and Daphna Levin in 2012.

The series follows a group of high school students navigating friendship and love at the same time as struggling with drugs, copulation, trauma, and social media.

The German adaptation has already tapped writers Jonas Lindt and Paulina Lorenz to work on the project.

In 2019, a U.S. adaptation of the series was created and principally written by Sam Levinson for HBO.

The series starred Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, and Sydney Sweeney and has since become a runaway success, with the series set to return for a third season.
