The German adaptation has already tapped writers Jonas Lindt and Paulina Lorenz to work on the project.
In 2019, a U.S. adaptation of the series was created and principally written by Sam Levinson for HBO.
The series starred Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, and Sydney Sweeney and has since become a runaway success, with the series set to return for a third season.
