On Wednesday, international Egyptian actor Mena Massoud visited the Pyramids and Sphinx. He was accompanied by Tourism and Antiquities Minister Dr. Khaled El Enani, and Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Nabila Makram. This visit is part of Massoud's Egypt tour program.
On his side, Enani expressed, "We cherish the Egyptian expatriates and their achievements," adding that Massoud always respects Egypt's position in the world and its role in his life, therefore, he gives care for visiting his country's landmarks.
Moreover, the minister indicated that the actor promotes Egyptian tourist sites on his social media platforms.
Enani continued that the actor was given a brief description of the pyramids and their building wonders alongside having a background about the Sphinx and its "Dream Stele."
On his side, Makram welcomed Massoud and his visit which considered an important step for promoting the Egyptian tourist and historical sites universally due to the actor's international fame.
She added that Massoud exerted no efforts to support his homeland as he is the first ambassador of the presidential initiative of "Etkalem Arabi" (Speak Arabic).
Furthermore, he supported the initiative by posting a video urging the Egyptian young expatriates to speak Arabic to preserve Arabic language, identity, and heritage.
In the same context, Makram expressed her appreciation and pride for Massoud as he is a shining bright figure of the Egyptian expatriates due to his international success as an actor alongside his will in keeping his mother language, describing his achievement as a part of Egypt's international achievements.
On the other hand, Massoud highlighted that he is keen to visit the Pyramids every time he comes to Egypt. He added that this was the third time he visited the Pyramids, however, he felt the same feelings as the first time.
In the same context, Massoud described that this huge building is still holding a lot of secrets behind.
Moreover, Massoud asserted that Egypt is still the greatest country for him, and visiting it is a duty, saying, "our role is promoting Egypt's touristic sites."
Finally, he took many photos and videos for the visit to post them on his social media pages asserting his pride and belonging to Egypt and its great civilization.
