Egyptian-Canadian actor Mena Massoud is set to arrive in the first week of January to prepare for his first-ever Egyptian film “Fi Ez El Dohr”.

The film is written by Karim Sorour and directed by Markos Adel.

George Shehata, the actor's business manager, told "Youm 7" that Massoud contracted on the production after negotiations that kicked off last September and lasted more than 3 months.

He stressed that the actor received many Egyptian and Arab offers since "Aladdin" was released in theaters, but they were waiting for a suitable role for him, such as “Fi Ez El Dohr”, to be his first artistic work in Egypt.

Shehata added that despite Massoud was busy in the past period with many performances and auditions, he welcomed the film as starring in an Egyptian production is one of his wishes since youth, because of his intense love for Egypt, his original home, and the Arabic language.

He pointed out that the actor has more than one global production that was scheduled to be shot in 2020, including "Aladdin 2", which is supposed to be completed in 2020.

Recently, Massoud ranked 44th in the “100 Most Handsome Faces” video organized by TC Candler. He was both the only Egyptian and Arab star to make the final list, which was uploaded on December 28.
