Egyptian actor Essam Omar is set to star in the sequel to the 2002 star-studded action/thriller film "Mafia".
Acclaimed filmmaker Sherif Arafa will return to direct the production and is set to commence principal photography at the end of April in a European country.
Written by Medhat El Adl and directed by Arafa, the 2002 film features a starry cast that includes Ahmed El Sakka, Mostafa Shaban, Mona Zaki, Ahmad Rizk, and more.

"Mafia" revolves around the problem of an important principle that has been missing from the minds and hearts of many Egyptian youth nowadays: loyalty to the motherland.
The film tackles this problem through the personality of Hussain Amin who has left the country and lost all his loyalty to it.
