Veteran Egyptian actress and TV presenter Esaad Younis has signed on to star in the play "SS Hanem".
The play is set to debut within the activities of the 5th edition of the Riyadh Season in Saudi Arabia.
It marks Younis comeback to the theatre after 30 years of absence.
She made her last appearance in the 1995 play "Ballo".
Younis is currently seen in the TV series "Teta Zozo" (Grandma Zozo).
The cast also stars Salah Abdallah, Moustafa Gharib, Islam Ibrahim, Nada Moussa, Mohamed Kelany, Enas Kamel, Hamza El Eily, Nour Mahmoud, Mahmoud El Bezawy, Iman Youssef, and more.
The series consists of 30 episodes and hails from director Sherine Adel and scriptwriter Mohamed Abdel Aziz.
The drama follows Dr. Etizaz Abdel Maqsoud (played by Younes), a ministry undersecretary who is a mother of four children and a grandmother of seven grandchildren.
However, she always falls into disagreements with her children over the way she raises the grandchildren in a way that does not suit the current time. In each episode, Etizaz tries to solve a problem for one of her grandchildren.
Younes, born on April 12, 1950, worked as a radio host at the Middle East radio station. She made her acting debut in the 1972 film "Unfulfilled Crime" starring Salah Zulfikar.
She became very well known after her role in the 1979 play “Al Dokhool Bel Malabes Al Rasmeya”.
