On Thursday, the Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) dispatched its 241st convoy as part of the "Zad Al Ezza... From Egypt to Gaza" initiative.
The convoy comprised several trucks carrying humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, as the ERC serves as the national mechanism for coordinating comprehensive humanitarian assistance to the region.
The convoy included tons of humanitarian supplies, such as food baskets, flour, medical supplies, and relief items, as well as fuel necessary for operating hospitals and other essential facilities in Gaza.
The ERC stated that it has maintained a presence at the border since the onset of the crisis, emphasizing that the Egyptian side of the Rafah Border Crossing has never been closed. The organization remains vigilant at its logistics centers and continues its efforts to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian and relief aid to Gaza.
To date, the total aid provided has exceeded 1 million metric tons, supported by over 75,000 volunteers.
