On the day that the sequel to the classic 1996 Adam Sandler golf comedy "Happy Gilmore" wrapped production, Adam Sandler called in to “The Dan Patrick Show” to discuss the movie.
He dished on some cameos for the film and teased a potential release date for the Netflix production.
“They’re going to yell at me no matter what, because they asked me to not do any press,” Sandlers said. “But what do you want to say and I’ll tell you if it’s good or bad to talk about.”
“Can I talk about Eminem having a cameo?” asked Patrick.
The sports media personality also appears in a small role in the film.
“I’ve known Eminem for a long time and he’s a great guy,” Sandler said, confirming the rapper is involved in the follow-up.
Eminem was spotted on the New Jersey set back in November. “He came in and was funny as hell. I think we hung out a day with Eminem and we just shot and shot and it was insane. Said a million things we can use and a million things we’re glad we have on tape.”
Sandler also confirmed that retired golf pro Jack Nicklaus will have a cameo.
Patrick then addressed the possibility if the film being ready to release on Fourth of July weekend.
“Not July 4th, but we’re trying to get it done in time for July,” Sandler said.
