Eminem Releases New Single "Houdini": Stream It Now

Eminem is playing the role of the magician, and for his next trick, Slim Shady is kicking off his album with the new single “Houdini.”

The rapper's first offering of 2024 doubles as the lead single of "The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce)" — his 12th studio album— the song hit streaming services on Friday.

He announced the single earlier this week in a clip with renowned magician David Blaine.

“Yo, listen, I need your help with something,” he told Blaine on FaceTime. “Well, first of all, I just want you to know you’re the greatest to ever do it. What I was wondering is, how far can we go with this magic? Can we do a stunt or something?”

The rapper then shocked fans with his next remark, which could be hinting at his retirement following the album. “Well for my last trick, I’m gonna make my career disappear,” he teased.

"The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce)" is expected to arrive sometime this summer. The project serves as the rapper's first album since 2020’s "Music to Be Murdered By".

Eminem announced plans for the album shortly after his appearance at the 2024 NFL Draft, which happened to be in his hometown of Detroit. He used a clip in the mold of an Unsolved Mysteries episode featuring 50 Cent. However, it was Dr. Dre who spilled the beans on the rapper's next album during a late-night appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in March.
