Netflix has renewed the popular comedy series "Emily in Paris" for a fifth season after the debut of Season 4 Part 2 on September 12.
The giant streamer made the announcement with a video of series star Lily Collins with an espresso mug and pastry, sitting on a balcony overlooking Italy.
“There’s no place like Rome,” Collins says, taking a sip of coffee and revealing the number 5 on the bottom of the cup.

Moving to Italy from France, Season 4 of “Emily in Paris” — a breezy comedy that has inspired fashion, tourism and memes — debuted at No. 1 on the Netflix Global Top 10 with 19.9 million views in its first four days, per Netflix.
It has remained on the chart for four consecutive weeks since.
Recently on “Emily in Paris,” Emily wrestles with romantic feelings toward two different men, Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) and Alfie (Lucien Laviscount). But “as old patterns clash with new complications, Emily feels drawn to a potential new love interest… and a new city,” reads the synopsis.
The last few episodes of Season 4 of “Emily in Paris” see Collins traveling to a new chic European city, Rome, to spend time with a new crush, Marcello Muratori (Eugenio Franceschini), a handsome Italian man she met on the slopes in the French Alps over the Christmas holiday.
As business is never far from heart matters in “Emily in Paris,” it turns out Muratori also runs a family-owned cashmere company which Emily’s boss, Sylvie (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu), is desperate to sign as new clients for her marketing firm, Agence Grateau.
“Emily in Paris” also stars Ashley Park, Camille Razat, Samuel Arnold, Bruno Gouery and William Abadie.
Season 4 also introduces Thalia Besson (Luc Besson’s daughter) as Sylvie’s step daughter, Genevieve, a New York native who starts working at Agence Grateau and quickly becomes Emily’s nemesis.
The series is created by Darren Star and executive produced by Tony Hernandez, Lilly Burns, Andrew Fleming, Alison Brown and Robin Schiff.
Stephen Brown, Grant Sloss and Joe Murphy are co-executive producers; and Collins produces alongside Ryan McCormick, Raphaël Benoliel and Jake Fuller.
"Emily in Paris" hails from MTV Entertainment Studios, Darren Star Productions and Jax Media.
