Emily Blunt, Aamir Khan to Be Feted at Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea Film Festival

The Red Sea International Film Festival (RSIFF) will fete Emily Blunt (Oppenheimer) and Aamir Khan (Dangal) at the opening ceremony of its fourth edition in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The festival, which will run December 5-14, honors the stars in recognition of their illustrious careers and lasting impact on the film industry.

Previously announced 2024 Red Sea honorees are Mona Zaki (Flight 404, Perfect Strangers) and Viola Davis (The Woman King, Fences).

Blunt and Khan will also join the lineup of speakers for the festival’s In Conversation With strand, which invites guests from all over the world to share insights into their careers, practices, and passions. 

“I’m incredibly excited to be coming to the Red Sea Film Festival and grateful to be one of this year’s honorees,” said Blunt. “I love all that this festival is doing for innovative and emerging talent in the film industry. In particular, I’m enthused by how they are empowering women in cinema and amplifying their voices.”

Khan added: “Cinema has been my lifelong passion, and to be amidst such an inspiring group of artists from across the world is truly humbling. I am deeply honoured to be recognized by the Red Sea International Film Festival as it celebrates the impact and magic of cinema. I look forward to sharing my experiences, learning from others, and collectively celebrating the art of storytelling that unites us all.”
