CAIRO, AUG 23 SEE: "Emad Al-Din" Street was established by Khepe Ismail in the heart of the city which was then known as «Cairo Khepe », similar to «Broadway» Street in New York and «West End» in London .

Historical documents show that the proportion of the street name marks the launch of the tomb of a sheikh who lived in this area.

The most important characteristic of "Emad Eddin" Street is its old Italian buildings that have become extinct.

The street was an old hub for casinos and night clubs in the 1920s.

The construction of these buildings was the idea of Khadio Abbas Helmy II, who established what he called the Khadio Buildings.

There are some cinemas and theaters on both sides of this famous street. These include: the Bejaal Cinema, Cosmos Cinema, Cairo Cinema, also the Rihani Theater.

"Emad al-Din" Street was a title of a book written by the great playwright Alfred Faraj.

Faraj said, in his book "The Actors Guild is located in Emad al-Din Street under the era of Ahmed Allam, a great artist."

Najib al-Rihani met some of his fans in this street who were waiting on both sides of the street to see him.

Art stories about this famous street embracing fifteen theater houses, as well as cafes are considered as art galleries and cultural forums.
