EMA: Unstable Weather to Hit Egypt Tomorrow

Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) issued an official statement, detailing the weather from Sunday, December 13, 2020, to Wednesday, December 16, 2020 . Experts warned of severe changes in the weather conditions across the country due to the sharp and rapid changes of the winter season as well as the change of the winds direction .

They added that winds may cause light to moderate rain in some areas of Cairo, the canal cities, and northern Upper Egypt. Meteorologists also warned that the rains may fall in Alexandria, Rashid, Baltim, Damietta, Port Said, Kafr El Sheikh, Beheira, Dakahlia, Gharbia, Menoufia, and Sharqia.

Meanwhile, they predicted that the rain will be accompanied by wind and sand in some areas in Greater Cairo, the canal cities, northern Upper Egypt, northern coasts, and Lower Egypt.

The Temperatures predicted;

*Sunday, December 13 :

A rise in temperatures over most areas is expected to be higher than normal rates, accompanied by light to medium rains in the northwestern coast areas .

*Monday, December 14 :

A decrease in temperatures from 3-4 degrees is expected, to return into normal levels. Wind and sand will hit  in some areas.

*Tuesday, December 15 :

Another drop in temperatures is expected to be less than their normal levels by from 2-3 degrees . The wind and sand activity will hit in some areas.

*Wednesday, December 16 :

Medium rain in some areas is expected .

Noteworthy, in November, a number of Cairo and Giza governorates witnessed heavy and moderate rains.
