Bad Weather Hits Egypt (Photos)

Experts of the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) warned of unstable weather and heavy rains in the northern part of the country. This unstable weather reaches its peak on Friday.

A number of Cairo and Giza governorates are now witnessing heavy and moderate rains.

Bad weather hits Cairo

EMA stated on its official Facebook page, that today's weather represents the peak of instability in terms of wind activity and rainfall prevailing in the northern part of the country.

The authority also shared satellite images, showing the proliferation of thunderstorms on the northern coasts as well as the areas of Lower Egypt and Delta, accompanied by heavy rainfall on Marsa Matrouh, Alexandria, and Dabaa.

Moreover, medium rain is heading to Cairo. Wind will be active in the northern part of the country and areas of Lower Egypt, and Cairo.

Bad weather hits Cairo

EMA stated that the weather will begin to improve, starting next Sunday, in most areas, with light rain prevailing in some areas of northern coasts.

The experts advised citizens not to go out during the wave of bad weather except when necessary, as well as not to walk on highways.
