The biopic was initially set to debut on June 3rd, 2022 but has been postponed multiple times due to the coronavirus pandemic.

It will also star Hollywood star Tom Hanks as the iconic singer's manager Colonel Tom Parker and Olivia DeJonge as Priscilla Presley.

Luhrmann penned the script with Sam Bromell and his longtime collaborator Craig Pearce.

The movie will delve into their complex dynamic spanning over 20 years, from Presley's rise to fame to his unprecedented stardom, against the backdrop of the evolving cultural landscape and the loss of innocence in America.
