One of the images depicted her Majesty sitting with Prince Philip and looking at a card made by one of their grandchildren on the occasion of their 73rd wedding anniversary last month.
Another picture showed the Queen awarding a knighthood to 100-year-old British World War II veteran Capt. Tom Moore, who managed to raise more than $39 million to support health workers earlier this year.
Unfortunately, COVID-19 broke the royal codes of New Year's celebrations. The Queen and her husband, Prince Philip were kept in their Windsor Castle since the outbreak of the second wave of COVID-19.
So, the couple will spend their New Year's Eve away from the other royalties instead of her annual vacation at Sandringham.
Before COVID-19 spread, the Queen also used to be accompanied by her family members including sons, and grandchildren and having some royal games with them.
Also, she used to stay wake up till midnight, and nobody was allowed to go to the bed before her.
