Lebanese superstar Elissa has dropped her first single of the year 2023 titled, "Ma Tendam ala Shi".
The track is featured on the opening credits of Syrian actor Bassel Khaiat's TV series "Al Thaman" (The Price).
It is written by Ali Al Mawla and composed by Salah El Kurdi.
The series is slated to debut on "MBC 1" and "Shahid VIP" streaming platform on Sunday, December 8.
"Al Thaman" also stars Razane Jammal, Nicolas Mouawad, Sara Abi Kanaan, Sabah Jazairi, and others.
The series is directed by Fikret Kadi and is adapted from the 2006 Turkish series "Binbir Gece" also known as "1001 Nights" and "Love Remains".
Elissa has been the highest-selling female Middle Eastern artist since 2005. She sold over 30 million albums worldwide.
In 2005, she became the first Lebanese singer to be awarded the World Music Award for Best Selling Middle Eastern Artist, an award that she earned once again in 2006 and 2010.
The singer is often referred to as “Maliket El Ehsas” (Queen of Emotions) by fans and the media.
Elissa’s artistic journey began in 1992 when she won the silver medal in the Lebanese music competition “Studio El Fan”.
The singer’s debut studio album, “Baddy Doub” (I Want to Melt), was released by EMI Music Arabia in 1999.
