El Anani Receives EU Ambassador to Cairo

On Sunday, the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Dr. Khaled El Anani received the Ambassador of the European Union to Cairo Christian Berger for searching the ways of boosting cooperation in the field of archaeology and tourism.

At the beginning of the meeting, El Anani welcomed the EU official, praising the ties between Egypt and the EU.

Both examined the methods of increasing tourism in Egypt and encouraging Europeans for visiting Egypt as a tourist destination.

In addition, they reviewed the progress of the various archaeological projects that are executed in the cooperation between the Supreme Council of Antiquities and the EU such as the second phase of Al-Tunbagha Al-Mardani Mosque restoration, alongside developing several tourist sites.
