On the sidelines of visiting the Japanese capital of Tokyo to attend Japanese Emperor Naruhito's enthronement ceremony, Minister of Antiquities Khaled El-Anani delivered a lecture at Waseda University, Japan, about the new archaeological discoveries, projects and museums in Egypt.
The lecture was attended by Egyptian Ambassador in Tokyo, Ayman Kamel, and about 150 accredited ambassadors, Egyptian scientists, representatives of many travel and tourism companies, academics, students as well as many Japanese figures interested in Egyptian history and archaeology.
During the lecture, the Minister of Antiquities reviewed many archaeological discoveries during the last short period; these discoveries received wide media coverage at the international level in general and the Japanese media in particular.
The minister talked about the tombs, museums and many archaeological projects that play great role in promoting Egyptian tourism.
The minister also pointed out to a number of ongoing national projects, such as the restoration of Baron Empain Palace, which is scheduled to open in November.
