Egypt’s Tourism Promotion Authority Participates in Workshop to Attract Tourist Traffic

The Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion participated in a workshop organized by Anex Group, a tour operator in Sharm El-Sheikh, for about 750 tourism companies from the Baltic countries, including Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania, in addition to Poland and Ukraine, November 17-19.

The participation came to attract more tourist traffic coming from these markets to the Egyptian market.

More than 40 hotel establishments and tourist facilities from Sharm El-Sheikh, Hurghada and Marsa Alam participated in the workshop.

Ahmed Ali, Director General of Foreign Offices at the Authority gave a presentation in which he reviewed the diverse and distinct tourism components in Egypt, its components and patterns.

Moreover, coordination is being made with Anex group, in cooperation with the Egyptian Embassy in Turkey, and the Turkish Travel Agencies Association "Tursab" to organize a visit to Istanbul in December to hold a number of meetings with tour operators and Turkish airlines, as well as representatives of the Turkish media outlets.
