Egypt's Parliament Speaker Invites Aguila Saleh, Libyan MPs for Consultation

Speaker of Egyptian Parliament  Dr. Ali Abdel-Al has invited the Speaker of Libyan Parliament, Counselor Aguila Saleh, and whoever wishes among the Libyan representatives to hold a consultative meeting in Cairo on November 24th.

In his letter to Saleh, Abdel-Al said, “We are pleased to invite you and those who wish from the Libyan MPs to meet in your second home, the Egyptian Parliament to hold a consultative meeting on November 24, 2020, at this minute stage of the history of Libya, in order to agree on a number of principles and standards required for a political solution to the current Libyan crisis.

Abdel-Al added: “You may agree with us on the importance of accepting the invitation to come to Cairo and meet under the dome of the Egyptian Parliament to emphasize your national positions; your bearing of the trust that the great Libyan people have brought you to cross from their current crisis to the stability, security, and prosperity that we all look forward to see in Libya soon.

At the end of his letter, Abdel-Al affirmed that the  leadership and people of Egypt stand firmly behind our Libyan brothers to overcome their current ordeal and achieve their aspirations for a modern, democratic, civil state whose people will enjoy stability and prosperity
