The National Council for Women (NCW), headed by Dr.Maya Morsy, honored Egyptian actress Nelly Karim for her performance in the TV series “Omla Nadra”.
The council organized a ceremony titled "Women in Ramadan Drama" to honor the TV productions supporting Egyptian women’s issues during the Ramadan drama marathon.
The council also honored several cast and crew members including screenwriter Medhat Al-Adl, producer Jamal Al-Adl, and director Mando Al-Adl.
During the ceremony, Mona Zaki was also honored for her performance in the TV series “Taht El Wasaya”, Amina Khalil was feted for the TV series "Al Harsha Al Saba", Donia Samir Ghanem for the TV series "Gat Salima", and Rogena for the TV series “Setohm”.
The honorees also included the cast of Ruby's TV series "Hadret El Omda" and the animated TV series “Yahya and Knouz”.
The council annually celebrates production companies, actresses, and writers who have contributed to advancing the role of women in society, tackling issues that shed light on the importance of women's work, and awareness-raising work.
