Mostafa Waziri, the Egyptian secretary-general of the Supreme Council of Antiquities inspected Greco-Roman Museum in Alexandria to find out the latest business and executive position of its development project, which is scheduled to be completed at the end of June.

Waziri was accompanied by Ayman Ashmawi, the head of the Egyptian Effects Sector of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, Mahmoud Mabrouk, the Advisor to the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for Jerusalem, and Osama Abdel Warth, the Director of the Child Museum.

He stressed that the opening of the museum would be a significant leap at the International Tourism Map of Alexandria, as the only Museum specialized in Greek civilization, especially since it will include a number of archaeological pieces of Greek and Roman civilization, which will be presented for the first time.

Moamen Othman, the Head of the Museums Sector at the Supreme Council of Antiquities, explained that the museum includes 41,000 artifacts on display and in stock, among the most important of which is a white marble statue of the goddess Aphrodite, a marble statue of the idol Serapis, another of Emperor Marcus Aurelius, and other outstanding pieces.

The efficiency of the services provided to visitors has been raised in a way that improves the tourist experience and makes it more attractive and easier.

The museum has been provided with cafeterias and houses for gifts. It has also been made available to receive facilitated tourism for people with special needs, as toilets, elevators, and places for museum education have been allocated for them.
