Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty travelled to Manila on Tuesday to participate in a ministerial meeting of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.
During the visit, Abdelatty is scheduled to meet senior officials from the Philippine government and hold bilateral talks with several foreign ministers attending the meeting.
The discussions will focus on strengthening cooperation and coordinating positions on regional and international issues of mutual concern.
Abdelatty will also meet representatives of major Philippine companies and business leaders as part of efforts to expand economic, trade and investment relations between Egypt and the Philippines.
The meetings are expected to examine available opportunities for cooperation across several sectors and encourage stronger ties between the business communities of the two countries.
