Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty departed for Vienna on Wednesday for talks aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and launching the first round of political consultations between Egypt and Austria.
During the visit, Abdelatty is scheduled to meet senior Austrian government officials to discuss ways to deepen cooperation across a range of sectors and exchange views on regional and international developments of mutual interest.
The visit will also mark the inaugural round of political consultations between the two countries under a bilateral mechanism established through an agreement signed in June 2025.
The consultations are expected to provide a regular platform for political dialogue and coordination on issues of shared interest, as Egypt and Austria seek to expand cooperation in political, economic and other fields.
Abdelatty's visit comes as Egypt continues to strengthen engagement with European partners through enhanced political dialogue and closer cooperation on regional security, migration and economic issues.
