Egypt's exports continued to post strong growth in 2026, with total exports reaching US$5.1 billion in April, a 21.1% increase compared with the same month a year earlier, according to an infographic highlighting the country's latest trade performance. Italy, Türkiye, the United Arab Emirates, the United States and Saudi Arabia ranked as Egypt's top five export markets during the first quarter of the year, with combined imports totaling nearly US$4 billion.
The infographic also showed that Egypt's agricultural exports exceeded 5 million tons, led by citrus fruits with nearly 2 million tons, while food industry exports reached US$2.43 billion during the first four months of 2026. The figures underscore the continued expansion of Egyptian products into international markets, boosting foreign currency earnings, enhancing the competitiveness of domestic industries and supporting the country's economic growth.
