Egypt's stock market ended mixed on Sunday, with the benchmark EGX30 index declining 0.7% to close at 52,560 points, while small- and mid-cap stocks extended their gains.
The EGX70 EEWI, which tracks smaller companies, advanced 1.25% to 17,263 points, while the EGX100 EWI rose 0.85% to finish at 23,081 points.
Total turnover reached EGP 10.1 billion during the session, while the market capitalization of listed companies stood at approximately EGP 3.89 trillion at the close.
A total of 222 stocks were traded, with 102 advancing, 104 declining, and 16 closing unchanged.
Egyptian investors were net buyers, recording EGP 154.4 million in net purchases. In contrast, Arab and foreign investors were net sellers, posting net sales of EGP 49 million and EGP 105.4 million, respectively.
