Egyptians' Union in US Plans to Attract Investments for Enhancing National Economy

On Monday, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Union of Egyptians Abroad, Eng. Ismail Ahmedو held a meeting with Essam Youssef, Vice President of the Union in the United States (US), to agree on a plan to attract Egyptians’ investments there for boosting the Egyptian economy.

 

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Economic Committee of the Union, where all available projects and facilities granted by the Egyptian state to foreign capital were presented, as well as some projects that could be partnered with Egyptian businessmen returning from the Arab Gulf in various fields, including medical supplies and foodstuffs, export of fresh vegetables and fruits, and waste recycling.

 

On his part, Eng. Essam Youssef said that there is a group of businessmen in America who wish to carry out several investment projects in Egypt, and it was agreed that the General Union of Egyptians Abroad, with the help of experts in the Economic Committee, would provide various investment opportunities and conduct all necessary feasibility studies for them.

Youssef also praised the level of cooperation among the branches of the General Union of Egyptians around the world in general and its branch in the US in particular in order to enhance the public interest and boost the Egyptian economy.

 

In the same context, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Union of Egyptians Abroad praised the new initiative’s goal, which mainly aims at forming an Egyptian lobby on the soil of the United States to unify the sons of Egypt residing in the US, work to confront hostile dialogue and defend Egyptian rights in US community organizations.
