A phone call was held today, Wednesday, between Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptian Expatriates, and Antonio Tajani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Italy.
The call addressed ways to enhance bilateral relations and witnessed an exchange of views on regional issues of mutual interest.
Abdelatty praised the growing momentum in bilateral relations between the two countries, emphasizing Egypt's keenness to elevate these ties to broader horizons across various fields, particularly the economic, investment, and trade sectors, in a way that boosts trade exchange and achieves common interests.
Both ministers also exchanged views on the latest developments in the negotiating track between the United States and Iran.
Moreover, they underscored the importance of continuing to build upon the momentum generated by the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), paving the way for more sustainable arrangements that contribute to consolidating calm, enhancing regional security and stability, and ensuring the freedom of navigation in accordance with the rules of international law.
