The Alexandria International Film Festival for Mediterranean Countries, headed by film critic Amir Abaza, will honor the late Armenian-Egyptian actress Perouz Artin Kalfayan, also known as Fayrouz, in the 41st edition, slated to run from October 2-6.
The tribute comes as part of the festival's commitment to celebrating pioneers and filmmakers who have left an indelible mark on the history of cinema.
The festival is an annual event held in Alexandria, Egypt, and aims to disseminate film culture and the progress achieved in various branches of film art and to strengthen the relations among filmmakers around the globe, in general, and Mediterranean countries in particular.
