The Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in the Russian Federation organized a cultural event introducing traditional Egyptian breakfast, as part of its ongoing efforts to promote Egyptian culture and strengthen cultural exchange between peoples.
The event was initiated by Dr. Maysaa Hamada, spouse of Ambassador Hamdy Shaaban, Egypt’s Ambassador to Moscow, and was attended by members of the International Women’s Club (IWC), spouses of accredited ambassadors in Russia, and prominent Russian social figures.
Welcoming guests to the “House of Egypt” in Moscow, Dr. Maysaa Hamada emphasized the embassy’s commitment to organizing cultural activities that foster human connection and strengthen bonds of friendship and mutual understanding among nations. She noted that the event is part of a broader series of cultural initiatives planned by the embassy in the coming period.
The program featured a presentation on the history of Egyptian cuisine by Dr. Menatallah El-Dory, an Egyptology specialist, who highlighted the connection between food, national identity, and Egyptian history across different eras.
The event also included a live demonstration of how to prepare “Feteer Meshaltet,” one of Egypt’s most iconic traditional dishes, along with a variety of popular Egyptian foods, giving guests the opportunity to experience authentic Egyptian culinary arts firsthand.
In addition, the gathering included a charitable activity involving attendees, with proceeds allocated to support several humanitarian projects run by the International Women’s Club (IWC) in Moscow, reflecting the values of cooperation and community service.
