"The East Cairo Air Force base received a military transport plane, loaded with an integrated shipment of medical supplies that were imported from abroad, in coordination between the armed forces, the Ministry of Health and the Egyptian Authority for Unified Purchase and Medical Supply,” the statement read.

The statement noted that "Precautionary measures were taken for the crew, in terms of sterilization, temperature measurement and laboratory tests to ensure the safety of all the crew members.”

Egypt had announced a curfew from seven in the evening until six in the morning, last week, to prevent the outbreak of the Corona virus.

In this regard, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli said that those who violate the curfew rules will be punished according to the emergency laws.

Moreover, the Egyptian authorities extended the suspension of flights and the suspension of studies in schools and universities until April 15, and closed cafes, clubs and sports training centers, while restaurants are limited to home delivery services.

As for the stores, except for the food supply stores and pharmacies, they will be closed from five in the evening, which is two hours before the curfew comes into effect and on weekends.
