EgyptAir is exploring new cooperation opportunities with major global companies in aircraft manufacturing, aviation engines, leasing, and financing as part of its plans to expand and modernize its fleet.

Captain Ahmed Adel, Chairman and CEO of EgyptAir Holding Company, held a series of meetings with leading international aviation companies during his participation in the 82nd International Air Transport Association (IATA) Annual General Meeting in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, held from June 6–8, 2026.

The discussions focused on supporting EgyptAir’s fleet development strategy, strengthening operational capabilities, and evaluating future aircraft requirements.

Meetings were held with major aircraft manufacturers including Boeing, Airbus, and Embraer, where both sides discussed potential cooperation opportunities and the participation of aircraft manufacturers in the 2026 El Alamein Airshow and Aerospace Exhibition.

EgyptAir also met with global aircraft leasing and financing companies, including AerCap, BOC Aviation, SMBC Aviation Capital, and Avolon, to discuss financing options for new aircraft acquisitions and supporting the airline’s fleet renewal plans.

The meetings also covered future studies on EgyptAir’s aircraft needs over the coming years and strategies to secure flexible financing solutions.

In the aircraft engine sector, Adel held talks with Rolls-Royce and CFM International to discuss technical cooperation, supporting current fleet operations, and future expansion plans.
