Egypt, Singapore Discuss Enhancing Cooperation in Tourism, Antiquities

In a bid to promote Egypt's tourism, the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Ahmed Issa met with Singapore's Ambassador in Cairo Dominic Goh to discuss cooperation between the two sides in the fields of tourism and archaeology.

During the meeting, they also discussed mechanisms to push more tourist movement from Singapore to Egypt and investment opportunities in the hospitality industry.

Issa also pointed out the importance of Singapore's market as one of the most important tourist markets for Egypt, referring to a marketing study that was conducted over the previous period that proved the presence of a large number of potential Singapore tourists who wish to visit Egypt who can attract a large number of other people.

The meeting also discussed organizing joint training workshops in the field of archaeological work and restoration work and Egypt's participation in the "NATAS Holidays 2023" exhibition, which will be held in Singapore next August.

The meeting featured appearances by Professor Youmna Al-Bahar, Assistant Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for Technical Affairs, and Counselor Amr Abdullah, General Supervisor of the General Department of International Relations and Conventions at the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities.
