Egypt Ranks 35th in Latest Statistics for Scientific Publication

Scimago organization has announced the latest scientific publication for the world's countries in Scopus from Elsevier Publishing House 2018. Egypt ranked No. 35 out of 233 countries in the top 15% of the world compared to 38th in 2017 and 40th in 2011.

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced the most prominent figures for Egyptian scientific research.

135 thousand researchers (number of Egyptian researchers in different sectors).

22.018 research were undertaken (the total international publication in magazines globally in 2018 at the rate of publication of research from Egypt every 24 minutes compared to 18,782 published in 2017 with an increase of 17.2%).

Egypt was ranked 20 out of 106 countries in the scientific publishing in the field of nanotechnology in 2018).

The country carried out 5,867 research in 2017 and 2018 in the field of medical sciences, 3,544 research in the field of Engineering Sciences and  2,760 research in chemistry.
