In a bid to promote tourism, Egypt’s Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities is currently participating with a high-level delegation from the tourism sector, headed by Maged Abu Sidira, head of the International Tourism Sector at the ETPB, in the activities of the 42nd edition of the International Tourism Trade Fair (FITUR), which is run this year between Jan. 19 and Jan.23.
The head of the International Tourism Sector at the ETPB revealed that on the sidelines of the opening of the exhibition, he will meet with a number of tour operators interested in the Egyptian market in addition to tourism and aviation companies operating in the Spanish market as well as media channels and journalists.
The main purpose of these tourism promotional activities taken by Egyptian tourist authorities is reviving the tourism sector, which has been impacted by the covid-19 virus.
In a statement released by the Tourism Ministry, it said the Egyptian pavilion participating in the exhibition this year has an area of about 300 square meters, adding that nearly 5000 participants representing 10 hotels and 13 tourism companies in addition to EgyptAir firm will participate in the Egyptian pavilion this year.
It’s worth mentioning that the renowned forum that took place in Madrid, Spain, is cited as one of the most important global tourism gatherings after the Berlin Stock Exchange and London and the largest tourist exhibition for Spanish-speaking countries, whether in the Iberian Peninsula or Latin America.
