Egypt's Minister of Culture, Ahmed Fouad Hanno, celebrated the country’s annual “Culture Day” on Thursday, honoring 38 creators and researchers who won the 2025 State Incentive Awards, under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah el-Sissi.
Speaking at a ceremony held at the Cairo Opera House, Hanno said Culture Day is a national occasion that reaffirms the power of Egyptian culture to protect identity, shape public awareness and inspire hope. “The land of Egypt that gave birth to civilization continues to produce art and creativity and instill a spirit of life and innovation in its people,” he said.
The honorees received 28 awards across the fields of arts, literature, social sciences, and legal and economic studies, in recognition of their contributions to Egypt’s cultural scene at home and abroad.
The event, organized by the Supreme Council of Culture, was attended by senior government officials, diplomats and prominent cultural figures.
