Egypt launched its first communication satellite "Tiba 1" into orbit on Tuesday.
Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli expressed his happiness that the launch of the satellite coincided with the inauguration of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi of several national developmental and service projects in Port Said and North Sinai governorates.
Madbouli congratulated and thanked all Egyptians who supported their political leadership in the economic reform program.
On its part, the French company Arianespace confirmed the successful launch of Egypt's first communication satellite "Tiba 1" into orbit.

An official from the French company said during a press conference that Tiba 1 is the fourth Egyptian satellite, thanking the Egyptian government for its confidence in the company.
The satellite, planned to remain in orbit for about 15 years, will offer telecommunication and broadband internet services to inpiduals and companies in the country, as well as some North African states and Nile Basin countries.
The satellite will provide broadband internet services to inpiduals and businesses in Egypt as well as some North African and Nile Basin countries.
The Egyptian government will manage and control the Tiba-1 satellite to provide telecommunications services for government institutions.
It is also expected to serve the sectors of energy, education, and health, as well as to help all state bodies combat crime and terrorism.
