Egypt is preparing to launch the first-ever Egyptian satellite "Tiba-1" for public and trade telecommunications purposes next November 22.

The Egyptian satellite will be launched by the French multinational company "Arianespace" in "Koro" city, French Guiana, South America.

“Arianespace” has completed the testing of satellite systems to ensure its safety.

Moreover, the mechanical and electrical twins between the moon and the launch base have been examined, as well as the filling of fuel tanks that will enable the moon to remain in its orbital position for around fifteen years.

The satellite will provide broadband internet services to inpiduals and businesses in Egypt as well as some North African and Nile Basin countries.

The Egyptian government will manage and control the Tiba-1 satellite after its launching to provide telecommunications services for government institutions.

It is also expected to serve the sectors of energy, education, and health, as well as to help all state bodies combat crime and terrorism.

By the launch of "Tiba-1" satellite, Egypt will break into the world of satellites intended for communications purposes.

This step represents a major shift in the field of communications and information technology (IT), and contributes to supporting comprehensive development efforts exerted by the state to provide a decent life for the Egyptian citizens.
