For the first time in its history, Egypt hosted the world-renowned “The Grand Ball”, one of the most prestigious royal events in the world, held this year outside its original home in Monaco. The glamorous occasion took place at Cairo’s historic Abdeen Palace, one of the most iconic royal palaces globally, and was organized by Noble Monte-Carlo.
Classified as an Ultra Luxury Royal Event, The Grand Ball brings together distinguished members of royal families, nobility, diplomats, and high-profile cultural figures from across the globe.
This year’s edition marked a symbolic milestone as it was hosted in Egypt, a country celebrated for its royal heritage, cultural sophistication, and historic grandeur.
The event formed part of the fifth edition of the global “Givers of Hope” campaign, held in Cairo from November 7 to 9, under the auspices of the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, represented by the Egyptian Tourism Authority.
The campaign’s opening ceremony took place at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, while the grand finale will be held on November 9 at the New Administrative Capital’s Opera House.
The Abdeen Palace gala witnessed the presence of Princess Béatrice of Bourbon-Two Sicilies, Prince Joachim Murat, and representatives of Monaco’s princely court, alongside French and European dignitaries, and prominent Egyptian and international guests.
Egypt’s Minister of Tourism and Antiquities expressed pride in the country’s debut hosting of the royal gala, saying it “reflects the international community’s confidence in Egypt’s ability to host ultra-luxury cultural and heritage events.” He emphasized that such occasions position Egypt as a destination that blends royal elegance with modern sophistication.
The Chief Executive of the Egyptian Tourism Authority underscored the importance of supporting world-class cultural events, noting that The Grand Ball represents “a unique opportunity to promote Egypt as a luxury global destination that bridges history and modernity.”
As part of the preparations, the Tourism Authority coordinated with Cairo International Airport to ensure a seamless reception for high-profile guests, a testament to Egypt’s growing professionalism in hosting major international events.
Founded in Monaco in 1954 under the patronage of Prince Rainier III and Princess Grace Kelly, The Grand Ball is among Europe’s oldest and most exclusive royal galas. It continues under the auspices of Prince Albert II of Monaco, celebrating art, culture, and philanthropy, while supporting global humanitarian and charitable initiatives.
By bringing The Grand Ball to Cairo, Egypt not only showcased its royal legacy and cultural allure but also reinforced its position as a rising global hub for luxury, art, and heritage experiences.
