On Wednesday, Egyptian Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Dr. Khaled El-Anany, received Frank Hartmann, who recently assumed his duties as new German ambassador in Cairo, to discuss means of joint cooperation between the two countries in the tourism and archaeological field.
During the meeting, El-Anany congratulated the German ambassador on assuming his duties, wishing him success in his mission, stressing the depth of Egyptian-German relations in all fields, especially in the field of tourism and archaeology, noting that the German market is one of the most important markets for tourism to Egypt.
The minister also reviewed the preventive and precautionary measures and health safety controls that Egypt has taken to face the repercussions of the coronavirus crisis.
In turn, the German ambassador praised the fruitful relations between the two countries, stressing his country's interest in strengthening cooperation with Egypt, expressing his appreciation for the efforts made by the Egyptian government to restore the incoming tourism movement to Egypt to its normal rates.
