Egypt Denounces Threats Targeting Saudi Arabia’s Security

Egypt strongly denounced threats targeting the security of Saudi Arabia, warning that such irresponsible escalation could undermine regional security and stability and threaten the safety of maritime navigation, international trade and vital waterways, in a blatant violation of international law, the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea and relevant UN Security Council resolutions.

In a statement recently issued by the Foreign Ministry, Egypt affirmed its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and all Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states, as well as its support for all measures taken to preserve their security, stability, sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Egypt also affirmed the importance of prioritizing political and diplomatic solutions and respecting the rules of international law in a manner that contributes to de-escalation and safeguards regional security and stability.
