Egypt on Sunday denounced Iranian missile and drone attacks targeting Kuwait and Bahrain, describing them as a flagrant violation of the two Gulf states' sovereignty and an unacceptable escalation that threatens regional security.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates said the attacks undermined ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalating tensions in the region.
Egypt reaffirmed its full solidarity with Kuwait and Bahrain, expressing its support for all measures taken by the two countries to safeguard their security and stability.
The ministry also stressed the importance of adhering to the ongoing negotiation process and supporting serious efforts to reduce regional tensions.
It called for resolving disputes through dialogue and peaceful means in a manner that strengthens regional security and stability.
