Sherif Gad, President of the Egyptian Association of Graduates of Russian and Soviet Universities, congratulated Mansurbek Kilichev, Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Egypt, on the remarkable success of the event "Egypt–Uzbekistan: A Dialogue of Civilizations and Heritage," hosted by the Grand Egyptian Museum with the participation of senior Egyptian and Uzbek officials, diplomats, and distinguished guests.

Gad praised the outstanding organization of the celebration, which was attended by Sherif Fathy, Egypt's Minister of Tourism and Antiquities; Bakhtiyor Saidov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan; Dr. Ahmed Ghoneim, CEO of the Grand Egyptian Museum Authority; Amr Selim, representing Egypt's Minister of Culture; as well as representatives of Al-Azhar, the Ministry of Awqaf, and religious leaders.

He emphasized that holding the event at the Grand Egyptian Museum reflects the deep cultural relations between Egypt and Uzbekistan and highlights the important role both countries play in preserving human heritage and promoting dialogue among civilizations.

Gad also congratulated the Uzbek ambassador on his country's landmark achievement with the inauguration of the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, now recognized as the largest center of Islamic civilization in the world and listed in the Guinness World Records. He described it as a global symbol of Uzbekistan's commitment to preserving Islamic heritage and showcasing the contributions of Muslim scholars to science, culture, and civilization.

He noted that this achievement reflects Uzbekistan's cultural vision and further strengthens its status as one of the historic centers of Islamic civilization. Located in the heart of Central Asia, Uzbekistan is home to renowned historic cities such as Bukhara, Samarkand, and Khwarazm, and is the birthplace of some of the greatest Muslim scholars, including Imam Al-Bukhari, Al-Khwarizmi, and Al-Biruni.

Gad stressed that the Egyptian Association of Graduates of Russian and Soviet Universities highly values initiatives that encourage dialogue among civilizations and promote knowledge, tolerance, and understanding between peoples.

He added that the Center of Islamic Civilization houses the famous Uthman Quran, one of the world's most significant Islamic manuscripts. Having seen the manuscript during his visit to Uzbekistan, he described the center as an outstanding cultural and academic landmark that reflects the country's historic contribution to Islamic civilization.

Gad concluded by thanking Atabek Alamov, Cultural Counselor at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Cairo, for the invitation to attend the distinguished event at the Grand Egyptian Museum, which attracted wide diplomatic and media attention. He expressed his hope for further cultural cooperation between Egypt and Uzbekistan in support of their shared human heritage.
