Egypt closely follows up probe into murder of Egyptian citizen in Riyadh

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs continues to closely follow up the probe into the murder of an Egyptian citizen and the injury of another in Riyadh.

Egypt Consul-General in Riyadh Ehab Abdel Hamid visited the Forensic Medicine Authority on Sunday and held a meeting with its director, Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Hafez said in a statement.

This came within the framework of the Egyptian authorities' interest in the case and to expedite the necessary procedures to transport the deceased's body to the homeland as soon as possible, the statement read.

Moreover, Egypt Consul-General visited the surviving victim in the hospital to check on his health condition, the statement added.
