Egypt Celebrates World Tourism Day with Diverse Activities Across Country

In commemoration of World Tourism Day, observed annually on September 27th, Egypt's Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, represented by the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, has organized a series of artistic, cultural, and tourism-related events across various Egyptian provinces.

Amr El-Qady, the CEO of the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, highlighted that this year's World Tourism Day theme is "Tourism for Inclusive Growth."

He emphasized the Egyptian government's commitment to transforming the country's tourism sector into an environmentally sustainable industry.

Through these activities and events held in different Egyptian provinces, the aim is to promote Egypt as a tourist destination, stimulate domestic tourism, and enhance tourism and cultural awareness among various segments of society.

Here are some of the activities and events organized by the internal offices of the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion in different Egyptian provinces to celebrate World Tourism Day:

Ramses Office:

Broadcasting a selection of promotional films recently released by the Authority on the giant screen at the Egyptian Railway Station, platforms 1 and 4.

This aims to promote domestic tourism and attract the attention of travelers from various nationalities passing through the station.

The seminar also highlighted the importance of tourism as a source of national income and the role of the World Tourism Organization as one of the United Nations agencies.

Distributing promotional brochures and souvenirs to Egyptian, Arab, and foreign travelers.

Additionally, a musician was invited to perform at the office during the celebration to create a cheerful atmosphere for tourists visiting the Authority's office.

Haram Office:

Welcoming tourist delegations of various nationalities during their visits to the Giza Pyramids area.

The Authority's team provided them with souvenir gifts and promotional materials about Egypt as a tourist destination.
