Within the framework of the Ministry of Tourism & Antiquities' keenness to promote the Egyptian tourist destination in the various tourist markets across the world and attract more incoming tourists, Amr El-Kady, CEO of the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, held a number of professional meetings with senior tour operators working in the Russian market, at the Egyptian embassy in the capital. Moscow.

These meetings came in coordination with Ambassador Nazih Al-Najari, Egypt's Ambassador to Moscow.

Mohamed Salama, Head of the Central Administration of Tourist Offices at the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, and Counselor Ahmed Medhat at the Egyptian Embassy in Moscow participated in these meetings.

These meetings aim at briefing the senior tour operators working in the Russian market on the developments in the tourism sector in Egypt and the indicators of the incoming tourist movement from the Russian market to the Egyptian tourist destination, in addition to the volume of demand to visit Egypt during the coming period.

Amr El-Kady explained that the Russian market is one of the main important markets for Egyptian tourism, as it came in second place in terms of the number of tourists coming to Egypt during the year 2022.

El-Kady pointed out that these meetings are a good opportunity to learn about the results of the new promotional campaign for Egypt, which was launched last March, in a number of tourist markets, including the Russian market, where tour operators and professionals expressed their admiration for the idea and content of the campaign, as well as its contribution to increasing the demand for visiting Egypt.

During these meetings, ways of enhancing cooperation between the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion and tour operators in the Russian market were discussed by organizing joint advertising campaigns and an aviation incentive program to push more tourist traffic from Russia to Egypt.

El-Kady also held a meeting with representatives of the Federation of Russian Tour Operators to discuss strengthening aspects of cooperation with the Federation and the possibility of holding its next annual meeting in Egypt.
