The 70th Egyptian Catholic Center Film Festival activities will be concluded tonight when the winners of this edition will be revealed.
The board of the festival selected singer Aya Abdullah to perform at the closing ceremony, and TV Presenter Lamees Salama to host the event.
Veteran Egyptian actress Samira Ahmed is set to be honoured at the event, however, she cancelled attending the event after the death of the iconic Samir Sabry.
The festival is currently underway and runs through Friday, May 27.
The 70th edition of the Egyptian Catholic Center Film Festival kicked off on May 20 and witnessed the organizing of film screenings after a year of absence due to the pandemic.
Five films will be competing for the festival’s prizes: “Qabel Lel Kasr,” “Al Mahkama,” “Bara Al Manhag,” “Leligar,” and “Ritsa.”
It honored several 2021 Ramadan TV stars during the 70th edition of the centre’s festival. Among the selected stars are Mona Zaki, Amina Khalil, Mohamed Mamdouh, Mariam Naoum, Asma Abu Al Yazid.
