The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) considers organizing an honorary pass for Al Ahly player Moamen Zakaria during Cairo's derby to support him.

Al Ahly are set to take on their arch rivals Zamalek later on today at Cairo Stadium (21:00 CLT).

Ahmed Abdullah, a member of the EFA's normalization committee, said an honorary pass could be organized for Zakaria during tonight's derby to support him due to his illness.

On September 2019, the 31-year-old player revealed his injury, which kept him away from football for six months, saying it was “a Psychological injury.”

“I suffered an injury in my knee. My mother was ill which left me down with none in my assistance,” Zakaria said.

“I will leave for a medical check-up in Germany to settle on the duration of the treatment,”  Zakaria said.

Zakaria joined the Red Devils in 2015 from Enpy following his loan to Zamalek. He moved to the Saudi’s club Ohod Al-Medina on Loan in January before terminating his contract with the Club and returning to Cairo giants Al Ahly.
